SCHEDULING YOUR PROCEDURE

Patients must undergo consultation with one of the gastroenterologists at North County Gastroenterology Medical Group prior to scheduling their procedure. 

Patients are asked to arrive one hour before their scheduled procedure time to complete paperwork and allow our nursing staff to properly prepare the patient for the procedure.  However, patients undergoing procedures at 0800 are asked to arrive at 0715.   

We are contracted with most insurance plans. The physician’s office will have already contacted your insurance carrier for those of you who need pre-certification or authorization for your procedure.  For more information, go to Billing & Insurance.

If you do not have any insurance, please contact our billing office at (760) 940-6300 for a price quote.  Cash patients must pay in full at check-in.  Your quoted price will not include any pathology costs, as we have no way of determining what that will be before your procedure is done.

If you are a marginal or non- English speaking person, you must bring an interpreter with you, who must stay at the CFE until your procedure is done.

If you need help dressing or getting in or out of the bed, please bring someone to help you. 

If you have a Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare, please bring that with you.

There is reserved parking for patient pick-up behind the building.  Your driver will be provided with pick-up instructions at check-in, which includes directions and the time of pick-up.
